I have finished Crescendo, shortly after I wrote the last post actually. But I haven’t had time to write about it yet because I have been frantically writing my Twilight paper, which I have finished! Thank goodness. Writing 15 pages about Twilight is hard work. Anyway, back to Crescendo. Nora never redeemed herself. She stayed annoying throughout the whole rest of the novel. It kind of made me hope that this would be the last book….but alas, my wish didn’t come true. Crescendo ended with a major cliff hanger, and now I will be forced to read the next book. I have to know what happens! I can’t just stop in the middle of a series. It’s one of my pet peeves, and is the reason I finished all four Twilight books. My problem is that I begin series before the whole series is published, and then I have to wait forever for the next book to come out. I’ve gotta learn to let an author publish the whole series before I begin reading it. That way I don’t have to wait in anticipation for the next book.
So overall consensus, Crescendo is an okay book. It didn’t knock my socks off, but it wasn’t the worst book I’ve read. Hush, Hush is definitely a better read. And on a completely unrelated note, when I went home last weekend, I realized how many series I have to catch up on. In high school, I would finish 3 to 4 books a week, but now I barely finish one in a month. I just don’t have the time to read as much as I used to, which is really depressing to me. I want to be able to read more. This summer will be the prime time for me to catch up on my reading. And the list is getting pretty long. I just want summer to get here so I can read for pleasure again. I miss it. 2 and a half more weeks. That’s all I have to make it through until the freedom of reading is upon me 🙂
