Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

So….I’m kinda behind in updating this considering that I’m really on book 6. But I’m becoming pressed for time, so reading the books has become a priority. Anyway, I finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on Saturday. The last of the relatively short books, there is an about 300 page difference between Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire. I’m not really sure why there’s such a jump…but there is. I have reached the long books, but they still read just as fast, at least for me. There’s so much going on in these books that I find it difficult to read it slowly.

Most people know who Sirius Black is, correct? Well, he’s Harry’s Godfather, in case you didn’t. The other day, I saw a link that made me laugh hysterically. Some crazy Twilight fan (I realize they’re not all crazy…but this was was, trust me) posted something on yahoo answers that said JK Rowling ripped off Harry Potter from Twilight. Interested? Check it out at this link. I promise, if you’ve read both these series, you will find this completely ridiculous. I know I did.

So where does Prisoner of Azkaban rank compared to the other books? It’s number 4, I liked it more than the first two, but not as much as the later ones. I don’t like that they left the whole Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs thing out of the movie though. I thought that was one of the more interesting things in the book, but they left it out in the move. I have no idea why. That happened with some of the later movies…I understand that though, because there is so much in those books that it is impossible to include it all in a movie. But this wouldn’t have taken much time…and it would’ve explained the Marauder’s Map a whole lot better.

That’s all have to say for book 3. Up next: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
