January is the month for TBR posts like this Top Ten Tuesday, I guess! Which I don’t mind. It’s the beginning of the year, so we’re still in the mindset of planning the rest of the year. And there’s also a lot of great books coming out this year. Since I’ve been more active in the community, my list has slowly started to get longer.
Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl has posted topics through February, so I’ll be participating at the end of every month! I liked this topic because I’ve been actively trying to read more blog posts recently, thus (predictably) updating my TBR. These are mostly books I’ve seen recently that I definitely need to read ASAP. I’ll also include a snippet about where I heard about the book!
Top Ten Tuesday: TBR
Destroy All Monsters by Sam Miller
One of my favorite authors (Shaun David Hutchinson) recommended this book on Twitter, and since I loved The Art of Starving, can’t wait to read this one!
I’m participating in another read-along in March, and this is the book! I’ve heard so many good things about Kristoff, so I’m excited to finally cross this off my list.
Brave Face by Shaun David Hutchinson
A memoir from Shaun David Hutchinson that I just heard about and I need it now. I talked about how much I love his work last weekend!
The Gilded King by Josie Jaffrey
One of the picks for the Books and Tea Book Club next month! Since I didn’t quite get to this month’s, making this a priority.
Return to Dyatlov Pass by J.H. Moncrieff
I saw a review from Lauren over at Northern Plunder for this book, and it’s the other pick for the Books and Tea read along.
Darius the Great is Not Okay by Adib Khorram
This book recently won the Morris Award, an award given to first time authors who write about books for teens. Finally officially added it to my TBR!
This is a graphic novel that caught my eye at work, and it looks gorgeous.
Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young
I saw this one on the #booksfortrade tag on Twitter and it definitely caught my eye.
That’s Not What Happened by Kody Keplinger
Found this after it was featured in a post about asexual rep. Enough said.
Now a Major Motion Picture by Cori McCarthy
Also from the aforementioned post!
Are any of these on your TBR for the year? Or have you read any? Let me know!

I haven’t read any of these, but a few of them are on my TBR list already. It’s always fun to find great-sounding books to add to your queue, isn’t it?
Happy TTT!

I too have been conned into putting Return to Dyatlov Pass on my tbr due to an amazing review it by Lauren lol, and I keep waiting for someone else to read NeverNight so I can see if I want to or not lol.

I’m doing an Instagram read along for Nevernight in March, so I’ll keep you updated! I’ve heard great things about it. 🙂
