It’s mid March, meaning it’s time for my monthly TBR post! Down the TBR Hole is a meme created by Lia over at Lost in a Story to work through that TBR list. Like last month, still sticking to 8 books. It’s been a good number for me!
The meme goes like this:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf
- Put in ascending order by date added
- Take the first 5 or so books (8 in my case)
- Read the summary
- Decide: stay or go?
So far, it’s been a month of read-alongs for me, which is great! Still adding to that TBR, though. Always still adding to that TBR, which is the life of a bookworm. We’re still in pretty old stuff in my TBR, making it a fun trip to the past. Check out last month’s post here!
March TBR Hole
Right Behind You by Gail Giles
A start over type YA book, at least that’s what it looks like from the description. I don’t remember anything about this, honestly. I haven’t even heard of it since adding it to my TBR (apparently). So, it goes.
The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
This is another one that I don’t recognize, and I haven’t seen anywhere online. A chosen one kind of fantasy, one that’s not really sparking my interesting. This one also leaves.
This Is Shyness by Leanne Hall
Hmm…I’m sensing a theme. I have no idea what this one is either. The reviews point to a lot of weirdness, and the summary doesn’t give a whole lot up about the book. This one is also going to go.
Don’t Let Me Go by J.H. Trumble
I think I added this one during my LGBTQ YA lit research days, a book about a relationship between two boys which is threatened by distance. I think I’m going to keep this one in the “eventually” category because it still seems right up my alley.
Hey, we’re finally to a book I recognize! It’s about time. I still have a copy of this somewhere in my boxes of books (I think?), and I still want to read it. There are some great authors included in here! Will be added to “eventually.”
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I added this when it first came out, and now, I think there are like 5 books? I still want to read the series, but maybe I’ll wait until the entire series is out, as per my latest trend. Maybe it is all out already? Let me know if you know!
A Straight Line to My Heart by Bill Condon
This one sounds a bit Rainbow Rowell-ish, and the cover is so cute! This one will probably be the perfect cute romance to keep in my arsenal for when one is needed. Because you never know!
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon
A classic I’ve been meaning to read for forever! Like seriously, maybe since ninth grade. I think I have a copy somewhere, but I have no idea where. So, it’s getting added to “eventually.”
Stay or Go?
Out of the 8 books for March:
3 are leaving
3 are going to eventually
2 are staying
I never seem to get rid of more than 3 books. But hey! At least I’m getting rid of some.
