Hey, we’re at the end of March already, which means that it’s time for a March Wrap Up post! Unless I finish another book by tomorrow (maybe!), I have completed the same number of books this month as last month: 13. Which isn’t a bad number!
Actually, I wanted to try to squeeze one more book in this month because then I’ll be at 50!
March Reading Challenges
I managed to finish all the books for the reading challenges I’ve completed this year, and I’m pretty proud of that! For a minute, I thought I wasn’t going to be able to. But I had more time to read this week. Yay! Always a good feeling.
For the Unreadshelf Project, this month’s prompt was oldest book on your TBR. I read:
- Boxers by Gene Luen Yang
This one was a graphic novel about Chinese history, and I really enjoy it.
For Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge, we had two more prompts.
A book by a journalist or about journalism:
- Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
A book by an AOC set in or about space:
- The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin
The Three-Body Problem is way outside of what I normally read, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. Attachments was lovely!
March Best and Worst
What’s the best book I read this month? That’s a good question. I read a lot of good books this month, excellent books at that. But, I think I’m going to have to go with:
Best: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Out of all the books in this series, this one was the best paced and I loved the characterization that we saw within this book. I could see it as something I’d maybe revisit in the future.
Worst: Spider-Man/Doc Ock: Negative Exposure by Brian K. Vaughn
Usually, I’d be like: it’s Brian K. Vaughn! But I couldn’t get into this particular Spider-Man story. Plus, the art just felt off for me.
