Today, we’re continuing the spring theme by looking at spring reads! I interpreted this as books that make you think of spring, not necessarily books you’ll read during spring. Which is what I wrote about in my post yesterday. The weather has also been getting nicer, here. I’m so ready for it to be spring!
Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book blogger meme, the topics can be found in this Goodreads group. It’s a great way to connect to other book bloggers, as well! I started doing them in January, and I’ve enjoyed the topics I’ve written about so far. It’s especially great when I get stuck on a topic.
Spring Reads
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
This isn’t my favorite book in the series (it really includes a lot of setup), but it’s set in the Spring Court, so I figured it was fitting! I’m actually hoping to finish this series this weekend, and posting mini reviews for all the books.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
While most of the book isn’t necessarily set in spring, a lot of the book focuses on graduation and what happens after. This is one of my favorite books of all time, and it definitely is calling for a re-read.
The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
A romance all about chances and fate and accidental meetings, it’s a great uplifting read for spring! Plus, the book has been slotted for a movie, which just released a trailer a few weeks ago. You should definitely read the book before seeing the movie!
The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater
All about nature and magic and friendship, this is the perfect book to pair with the blooming magic of spring. It’s also a great time to dig-in to the series because there’s a new book coming out this fall!
The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
Ending out my list by throwing in a little poetry, with a book that’s an amazing audiobook listen. In fact, I might recommend that format over the physical format. Acevedo (a slam poet champion) narrates it herself, and it’s amazing.
