We’re slowly getting into spring, which means it’s time to create my Spring TBR! Though I haven’t really been sticking to TBR lists, lately. I’ve been seeing books I want to read and they’ve been interrupting my planned reading. Which is well and good, but takes away from what I’ve also planned on reading.
I think this will be a combination of books I’ll be reading for my reading challenges and books I just really, really want to get to. Like, now. Or books I feel like I should have read already this year but haven’t. Just a combination of all the things!
Spring TBR
Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner
I have this book and it’s killing me that I haven’t read it yet. I’m hoping to finish my review book for this week and dig into it! I’ve honestly wanted to read it since it came out in February.
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
This book I’m reading for the Read Harder Challenge (check out the challenges I’m doing here!), books about journalism. This is one of the only Rainbow Rowell books I haven’t read yet, and I’m excited to!
The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin
Another one for the Read Harder Challenge, a book set in space written by an author of color. This one has gotten excellent reviews!
American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang
This one is for the Unreadshelf Project, book that has been on your shelf the longest. I’m not 100% sure that’s the case for this one, but it’s been there for pretty long.
Shout by Laurie Halse Anderson
I got to see Laurie Halse Anderson this past weekend, which means that now I finally have her new book! Yay! I’m excited to dig in.
Brave Face by Shaun David Hutchinson
This one is Hutchison’s memoir about growing up and struggling with depression, anxiety, and the like. I was approved for a copy on Net Galley, and I can’t wait to get to it.
Bloom by Kevin Panetta
I picked up this beautiful graphic novel at work about a week ago, mostly because I had seen so much about it on Instagram.
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
A bit ambitious, but I really want to finish this series sometime this year. I read Cinder last summer and haven’t read any others yet.
Brief Chronicle of Another Stupid Heartbreak by Adi Alsaid
Another approval from NetGalley, and one I have to read sometime in April! I think it sounds like a great spring read.
Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi
This comes out in April and I’m so, so excited! Can’t wait to see what happens next.
