Woah, it’s the end of April which means it’s time for an April Wrap-up post! April was an excellent blog post writing month for me. Overall, I consistently posted Monday-Saturday, an accomplishment for me. I think I’ve got a good groove down for writing posts the night before, and I hope it can continue next month.
April was an overall good reading month too, though I didn’t quite get to all my reading challenge prompts. But I did finally get them from the library! So they’ll be happening shortly.
April Reading Challenges
In this case, I’m only one for three. It counts if I have the two I’m missing though, right? I’m honestly hoping to read them within in the next week for the Avengers Readathon. With a break between classes, I think it’s doable!
For the Unreadshelf Project, this month’s prompt was most recently acquired. So, I read:
- The Handmaid’s Tale: Graphic Novel by Margaret Atwood and Renee Nault
This was an absolutely beautiful adaption and I loved everything about it. The watercolors were stunning and fit the story so well.
I missed the prompts for Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge, so you’ll get double next month!
April Best and Worst
Guys, this decision was so hard because I read so many good books this month! How can I pick my absolute favorite?? Of course, two of them were re-reads, so I guess I won’t count those. 😂 There were a lot of 5 star reads though. But, I guess I’ll go with:
- Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner
There was so much to love about this book, with such a wide variety of emotion. Plus, I got to meet Jeff Zentner, so this made it all the better.
For the worst, or least favorite, I think I’m going to have to go with:
- Red Vengeance by Margaret Stohl.
It wasn’t bad necessarily, I just couldn’t get into the story. Probably because I was reading the sequel before reading the first book. 😂 It happens sometimes.
