It’s the start of Avengers week, so let’s sort the characters into Hogwarts houses! A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about fictional characters that belong in Ravenclaw, my own Hogwarts house. It’s just fun to sort fictional characters into Hogwarts houses because it’s a little bit like fanfiction. Fandoms are colliding!
I debated a bit whether I should include all of the current Avengers, or just focus on the original members. After all, the Avengers is quite a large group of people. If you follow the comics, people are leaving and going all the time. For the purpose of this post, and to feel a little nostalgic, I focused on just the original members. But stay tuned! A post featuring the newer Avengers could be in the near future.
Avengers Hogwarts Houses
Iron Man
House: Slytherin
For all of his ambition. I know, Slytherins often get a bad rap, especially because of the way that they’re portrayed in the books. But at the core, Slytherins are ambitious and achievement oriented, which means that Tony Stark would fit right in.
The Hulk
House: Gryffindor
Note: Bruce Banner would definitely be in a different house than the Hulk. After all, they have completely different personalities. Bruce likes to solve problems with the intellect of a Ravenclaw, but the Hulk always jumps headfirst into any battle. For good reason. He is invincible, after all.
Black Widow
House: Ravenclaw
Natasha doesn’t rely on her brawn in order to get through her problems. In fact, she’s an excellent strategist; she can easily see where a battle is going and adapt quickly to make the fight go her way. She uses her brains to get information she needs, and she always pursuing new knowledge.
Captain America
House: Hufflepuff
While Captain America also jumps right into any battle, I think his loyalty is one of the most prominent aspects of his character. He’s fiercely loyal to his friends and loved ones, and he’s also fiercely loyal to his own values and beliefs.
Thor
House: Gryffindor
Thor definitely just jumps right into battles without really thinking as well, using his power and hammer to drive all of his decisions. We’ve gotten a bit more character development in the more recent movies, but he’s still a dive in headfirst kind of guy.
Do you agree with my placements? Who would you move?
