Are you on a Marvel kick after seeingĀ Endgame, much like me? Honestly, I wish that I could just read comics all day lately, but I’ve got too many other things to do. Plus, the new Spider-Man trailer came out, which has me all excited for July. Seriously, Tom Holland is the perfect Spider-Man. No one will ever be able to change my mind. He fits the comics too well.
Anyway, I digress. There are some great books in the YA realm is you love Marvel, especially since they’ve started publishing superhero novels. Like, there’s an Avengers one, Captain Marvel, Miles Morales, etc. I haven’t read all of them myself, but I’d really like to someday. Maybe this summer! Or once I’m finished with the Avengers Readathon.
If you’re looking for adventure and superheros this summer, look no further than these five books! You know, outside of the Marvel publications. š
Marvel Book Recs
1.Ā Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
If you’re looking for books where the characters have superpowers, this series is the perfect one for you! With 5 books currently in the series, you’re likely to be occupied for a spell as well. Plus, who doesn’t like delving into a new series?
2.Ā Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Maybe you’re more interested in the magical superheros or Black Panther. I’m currently readingĀ Chidlren of Blood and BoneĀ and it fits perfectly for both of these things. And I think the new book is going to come out at some point?
3.Ā Legend by Marie Lu
If the spying and fighting against a larger power is what draws you to Marvel, the Legend series fits the bill. There’s also two unlikely characters working together, which is kind of like the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy.
4.Ā Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
Perhaps the Norse mythology is the only reason you watch any of the MCU movies. You like Thor and Loki and the viking-esque aspect of their movies. Then this book is perfect for you! Plus, Adrienne Young has another book coming out this year, so you’ll have that to look forward to!
5.Ā The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
A book about a group of unique people coming together, much like the Avengers. Magic, intrigue, and the search for a lost king. What’s not to like?
