This week’s Top 5 Wednesday post features emerald book covers! Since all the leaves and such are back, it seems like a fitting topic for spring. But it did take some thinking. I had to do a little bit of research in order to find these five books. However, I found them! And they create a gorgeous book list.
Looking at my shelves, I don’t actually own a lot of green books. I have a lot of blue books, though! That seems to be a popular color in publishing as of late. I’m not complaining; those are pretty books too. I just wish more books had purple covers. 😂
For those who forgot, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly Meme that’s run by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey), with weekly topics posted in this Goodreads group. Here’s my post from a few weeks ago!
Five Emerald Book Covers
1. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK Rowling
This was the first book that sprang to mind when I was looking for green books for this post. I mean, it’s one of the greenest books ever! Look at all of that green! The perfect green for spring.
2. Inheritance by Christopher Paolini
The covers for these books have changed slightly now, focusing more on the dragon. But this original cover is also very green! It’s been a really long time since I read this series, but it might be time to revisit these books again. I loved them when I was in high school.
3. The Wizard Heir by Cinda Williams Chima
Another series I haven’t read since high school is this one. Actually, I don’t think I ever finished the books because there were more published after I thought the series was done. That seemed to happen a lot to me with series I read in high school. 😂
4. The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
It might be arguable that this isn’t quite green, but it looks kinda green, so it works, right? It’s close enough to green to work for this post, I think. Plus, it’s just an overall fantastic book that you should read anyway!
5. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
I can’t believe I didn’t think of this one first thing! It’s so green! I only found it when I googled green book covers to find one last one for my list. But I’m glad I did because it’s beautiful.
