This week’s Top Ten Tuesday post took a little bit of research. The main gist of it is your favorite books released from the last 10 years. One book per year. It’s fun to look back and see what books were published in the last 10 years! Especially since 10 years ago I was in high school. Or, just finishing high school. What a different time that was. 😂
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently run by The Artsy Reader Girl. If you haven’t checked out their posts yet, you definitely should! I’ve been doing them since January and have enjoyed each one. You can check out my last one here!
Favorite Books from the Last 10 Years
1. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (2009)
Definitely was (still am) on The Hunger Games bandwagon. I remember when the books were first coming out, and we got this one at the American Library Association conference. I read it in one night. 😂 I still can’t believe that that was 10 years ago.
2. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan (2010)
Two of my favorite authors co-authoring a book? Sign me up. It’s been a while since I read this book, I think it might need a re-read. Maybe I should do a re-readathon sometime this summer? There are a lot of books I want to re-read.
3. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (2011)
Oh man, I can’t believe it’s been this long since this book came out. My first Patrick Ness book, and an absolutely beautiful book at that.
4. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (2012)
I remember when this came out, and I had it sent to my house instead of my dorm room. 😂 I had to wait a few weeks to actually read it. When you’re anticipating a book, nothing is more frustrating.
5. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (2013)
Rainbow Rowell absolutely has to make it on the list at some point. Because she’s one of my top ten authors ever.
6. Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaria (2014)
An epistolary novel, which quite honestly, I’m coming to love. I mean, Perks of Being a Wallflower is told like that and that’s one of my favorite novels of all time.
7. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (2015)
Sorry, there are two Rainbow Rowell books on here. But Carry On is so adorable! Like seriously, so adorable. Go read it right now if you haven’t!
8. Scythe by Neal Shusterman (2016)
Wow, this is definitely one of my favorite current series, and the next book comes out this fall! I might be able get my hands on it this weekend at Book Con, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
9. They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera (2017)
Runner up: Turtles All the Way Down by John Green. But I think that this is my favorite Adam Silvera book to date, though More Happy Than Not is a pretty close second.
10. Sadie by Courtney Summers (2018)
This might have been the most difficult year, just because I felt like I was reading a lot of new releases last year. But this one was one of the best that I read, published last year.

I think A Monster Calls is going to be considered a classic in 50+ years. Great choice there. My <a href=” http://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-favourite-books-released-in-the-last-ten-years/ “> TTT</a>.
