I was going to write a review today, but since I didn’t finish the book, you get favorite friendships! (I did write a review yesterday, though.) There are a lot of great friendships in the fictional world, and since it’s basically summer, it’s time to celebrate my favorite friend groups. Because summer is all about hanging out and taking a break, at least when you’re in school. Not so much when you’re an adult. But we can dream, right?
Anyway, friendships are some of the best things to come out of our favorite series. And the unlikely friendships are the best ones. People who weren’t supposed to be friends and then become the best friends. What isn’t to like?
Favorite Friendships
1. Harry, Ron, and Hermione
Maybe it’s a bit cliche because Harry Potter, but this trio is one of the best. They balance each other out, and they become really close throughout their years at Hogwards. Hermione is arguably the best of the three, but I supposed that’s my biased opinion. Imagine the shenanigans they could have gotten into if they were together in the summer.
2. Kenji and Juliette
While Warner and Juliette are the center of the Shatter Me series, Kenji and Juliette’s relationship is honestly goals. Kenji is the perfect best friend. He’s always there when Juliette needs him, and he deserves all the happiness.
3. Josie and Delia
Jeff Zentner’s latest book, Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee, is all about the friendship between Josie and Delia. Basically, this leads me to believe that we need more novels about friendship. Because you get all the emotions you get in romance, without any of the romance drama! Yeah, there’s drama in friendships too. But a different kind of drama.
4. Kalyn and Gus
They’re from a newer book, Wild and Crooked by Leah Thomas, but their friendship is still admirable. They become close despite the drama between their family’s history, and they both feel like they can be themselves with each other.
5. Feyre and Mor
Maybe many people think the romance is the best part of A Court of Mist and Fury, but Feyre also forms some long lasting friendships in this book as well. One of the strongest bonds is Feyre’s relationship with Mor, one of the leaders of the Night Court.
