I wasn’t sure what to post today, so I found an Autumn Book Tag for some bookish prompts! Plus, it also helps to get in the fall mood. Since fall is the best season, only natural to match books with it. Getting cozy and reading in the fall is one of the best things, and I can’t wait for the colder weather to do so.
The Autumn Tag was created by Jenn over at Jennniely. The only rules are to link back to the creator and tag some fellow blogging friends. I tag anyone who feels like participating.
The Autumn Tag
1. Hot Chocolate – What is your comfort book?
A bit cliche, maybe, but definitely Harry Potter. But also Rainbow Rowell’s books! And probably lump Patrick Ness in there too, even though his books are sad. 😂 And Perks of Being a Wallflower. And Red, White, & Royal Blue, as of late. Did I list too many?
2. Pumpkin Carving – What is your favorite creative outlet?
Definitely painting, for sure. Specifically watercolor. I haven’t had too much time to do it recently because of class and work, but I’m hoping to try to make more time for it. Because it is relaxing for me.
3. Falling Leaves – Changes that appear bad but you secretly love?
The enemies to lovers trope is absolutely one of my favorites. Especially because the characters may appear to hate each other, but it’s usually because they harbor other stronger feelings. And really, it’s just the best.
4. Pumpkin Spiced Latte – Something you love that others tend to judge.
Ummm…Pumpkin Spice, I guess? This is a difficult one. I don’t really know. 😂
5. Bonfire Night – What makes you explode with joy?
A really, really good cup of coffee. Snuggling with my cat, Nox. A deep conversation with friends. An adorable romance in a book. A well-written book. Matching someone with the right book.
6. Friday Night – Favorite scary book or film.
Oh man, I don’t necessarily read a lot of scary books or watch a lot of scary movies. A Quiet Place is pretty suspenseful, and I really enjoyed the concept. There’s also a creepy children’s graphic novel called Thornhill that I thoroughly enjoyed!
7. Halloween Candy – Favorite thing to eat.
Potatoes, any kind really. Though, especially hashbrowns. Those are fantastic. Also, dark chocolate and sea salt caramel. And chocolate and peanut butter. The best combination in the world.
8. Scarves – Your autumn must-have accessories.
Scarves, obviously, because they are so cozy. But also boots! I love pairing boots with adorable, cozy socks. The perfect autumn look.
9. Fire – A book or film that burns your soul.
More Than This by Patrick Ness. Movie wise–The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Or Spider-Man: Homecoming, but that one more because I love Tom Holland and Spider-Man.
10. Toffee Apples – A book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside.
More Than This by Patrick Ness. Is it cheating if I use the same book for two questions? Because this is definitely the case with this book.
