Review: A Touch of Death
Thanks to Rebecca Crunden for sending me a copy of this book to review! Since it’s dystopia, it’s obviously right up my alley. It had all of the key elements of a good dystopia: power struggles, wastelands, good vs. bad. Plus, the characters were spot on, pulling you into almost immediately into the story.
The world itself was interesting, though it was a bit difficult to get into at first. There were a lot of great elements that work together in order to create the conflict that Nate and Catherine find themselves in. Though not necessarily a fast moving plot, it’s more one of discovery for the characters as they learn about themselves and the world around them. The more I read about the world, the more I enjoyed it.
This is the first book in a series of five, and you can tell by the end of the book. While not necessarily a cliff-hanger, the book sort of just ends, leaving you wanting more.
A welcome addition to the ever-growing dystopian genre.
