It’s time for my 2020 reading resolutions! Last year was probably my best reading year to date. I don’t think I’ve ever read as many books as I did. 200! That’s so many. Plus, I finished all the reading challenges I was a part of, and doubled the amount of nonfiction books I read. All in all, I achieved so many things book wise that I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store!
Let’s look back at my reading goals from 2019:
- Review every book I read on Goodreads.
- Read 100 books (200 for me!).
- Read 5 nonfiction books (I read 10).
- Expand Spider-Man repertoire.
Here’s to hoping this momentum will continue into 2020; there’s so much I want to read, and so many new books being published all the time!
2020 Reading Resolutions
Books Read
Since I did so well reading last year, I raised my goal to 150! I know, you probably think I should have just done 200. However, I’m not quite sure what 2020 will bring job wise, so I’m playing it safe. Well, kind of safe. We’ll see how far I get, though! There are definitely some great books coming out this year.
Unread Shelf
I attempted to focus on this last year, and sort of failed. There were just so many books that came out this year I wanted to read! I did finish all the unread shelf challenges, though. When it comes to this, my main goal is reducing the amount of unread books I own. This means including these in my TBR lists whenever possible. Here’s to focusing on reducing unread books on our shelves!
Spider-Man Reading
Okay! This was a goal for last year, too. I got pretty far! There’s just a lot of Spider-Man stuff out there. I’ve also expanded this to include some of the major events that happen in the comments, so it’s going to take me a bit longer. There are a lot of comics. But, I’ll just keep chugging along until I get caught up! Which could be a few years, but someday. Someday it will happen.
I’ve got a few non-reading goals for this year, too. I want to try to re-learn the piano, as well as focus a bit more on running. And writing! I want to make time for that this year, and I think I can do it.
There aren’t a lot of goals here, but I think that makes them more achievable! Here’s to a great 2020 and a great start to the decade.
