It’s February Wrap Up time! Man, February really flew by. I know it’s a short month, but it seems like we just got started and it’s already over. It’s been a pretty hectic month for me; between work and school it’s felt like I’ve had zero free time. However, that hasn’t reduced the amount of reading I did! Actually, it might have been one of my best reading months in a while.
My unread shelf progress is going a bit slowly. I just keep checking out books from the library! When I’m at work, I always see something that I’ve been wanting to read. Maybe I need to reign in my wants a little better. Oh well. Knocking off some series on my TBR, so that’s a good thing at least!
Reading Challenges
For the Unreadshelf Project, the prompt this month was gift. So, I read:
- Anna and the Apocalypse by Katharine Turner
It was a book I got for Christmas a year or two back and it was an interesting read to say the least.
And two books for the 2020 Read Harder challenge! I got some great diverse reads for these prompts this month:
- Mystery where the victim is not a woman: Fake ID by Lamar Giles
- Graphic memoir: Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe
One of these was an audiobook and one of these was an ebook from the library! I use the library a lot. Can’t you tell?
Other February Favorites
Didn’t get to a lot outside of reading this month, but I did watch Unbelievable on Netflix, which is a series based on real events. It was extremely well done, but will make you frustrated with how sexual assault is dealt with in the US. I also finished the third season of Atypical on Netflix, which is a fantastic series if you’re looking for something new! And me and my mom finally started Schitt’s Creek. It’s hilarious so far! I’m loving it.
