As we think about the warmer weather ahead, let’s read some books to bring in spring! Especially since this weekend is spring forward weekend (boo). I’m really looking forward to slightly warmer weather; I love being able to run outside. It’s so much better than running on a treadmill. And to not have to worry about driving in the snow.
Anyway, books! Spring just makes me think of color, green, and happiness. It’s the season of renewal, the season of new growth. While it’s not my favorite season, that still belongs to fall, the in-between seasons are the best. I’m a temperate kind of person. If I could live in 60 degree weather all the time, I would be happy. Hopefully, these five books will help get you in the mood for spring!
Bring in Spring

A mystery lover, Birdie grudgingly accepts Daniel’s help solving her latest mystery: a well-known mystery author might be meeting someone at the hotel. Mystery-themed and adorable, Jenn Bennett is one of the queens of YA romance, and this book will inspire you to go out and solve your own mysteries.

Frankly in Love by David Yoon
Balancing life in Southern California with his Korean parents’ expectations has always been difficult for Frank Li, especially when it comes to dating. He’s required to “date Korean,” leaving his options pretty limited. So, he comes up with a scheme with his long time friend, Joy Song, so they can both date who they want. But will the fake-dating scheme last forever? What happens when you start to fall for the other person? This book is so much more than the romance at its core; it discusses family expectations, cultural expectations, and trying to figure out your own path. The audiobook comes highly recommended from me!
