It was a struggle to come up with a topic for today, so I searched the internet for book tags! There isn’t a lack of these anywhere, it was just a matter of finding one that clicked. Queue the Hamilton Book Tag! Since I got the chance to see Hamilton this past winter, it is perfect timing. Especially since there’s officially a movie in the works for the foreseeable future. I absolutely cannot wait!
This tag was created by Maureen Keavy over on Booktube, but I found it on The Booknut. There are some spoilers included throughout, so I’ve marked the questions that include spoilers so you can skip them!
Hamilton Book Tag
1. The Room Where It Happens: Book world you would put yourself in
Outside of Harry Potter, probably Watford from Carry On. One of my all-time favorite series, and there would be so much magic to learn!
2. The Schuyler Sisters: Underrated Female Character
Gideon Nav from Gideon the Ninth. Maybe she’s not underrated, but I definitely don’t feel like she gets enough credit online. She’s amazing.
3. My Shot: A character that goes after what they want and doesn’t let anything stop them
Aelin from Throne of Glass definitely! From the beginning, she knows what she wants, and she will do absolutely anything to reach that goal.
4. Stay Alive: A character you wish was still alive [SPOILER]
Rue from The Hunger Games. I guess not a huge spoiler unless you’ve never read the books or seen the movies, but Rue had so much life ahead of her! Her death was one of the saddest.
5. Burn: The most heartbreaking end to a relationship you’ve ever read [SPOILER]
The death of Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars was the worst. I definitely cried when I first read this book.
6. You’ll Be Back: Sassiest villain
Warner from Shatter Me. I know he’s not always the villain in the whole series, but he’s still pretty sassy!
7. The Reynolds Pamphlet – A book with a twist that you didn’t see coming [SPOILER]
More Than This by Patrick Ness. Even saying that it has a twist might be giving too much away, but this book will just blow your mind, I promise.
8. Non-stop: A series you marathoned
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I think I read all three in the span of like a week? They were difficult to put down.
9. Satisfied: Favorite book with multiple POVs
Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. There is so much going on in this book, but I love it! Plus, the audiobook is amazing. If you’re looking for an audiobook to get into, I definitely recommend this one!
10. Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story: A book/series you feel like will be remembered throughout history
Maybe a bit of a cliche, but Harry Potter. With everything that’s been created from this series, I think it will be a long time until people forget about it. It has forever made its mark on the world.
Hamilton Book Tag: Bonus questions!
1. Helpless: A relationship you were pulling for from the very start
Hunt and Bryce from House of Earth and Blood. If you haven’t read it yet, go do it! You need to do it!
2. Ten Duel Commandments: Favorite fight scene
That end scene in Obsidio and final push against BeiTech. Seriously, read all these books at once, you won’t be disappointed!
3. Say No To This: Guilty pleasure read
Umm. I enjoy fluffy romances once in a while, like Red, White, & Royal Blue. Or books by Jenn Bennett.
4. What Comes Next: A series you wish had more books
The Witch Boy by Molly Ostertag. Right now, there are only three books with no plans for more, I think. But there definitely should be more!
5. Right Hand Man – Favorite BROTP
Gansey, Ronan, Adam, and Noah from The Raven Boys. Their relationship and friendship is a beautiful thing.
6. What’d I Miss: A book or series you were late to reading
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I didn’t start reading it until Kingdom of Ash was out, which was a good thing on my part. I didn’t have to wait on any cliffhangers.

This is such a fun book tag, and I loved reading your answers to it. I also loved Illuminae (and the other two books), when I read it a few years ago I was first worried with all the POV, but then I fell in love with the characters. Oh, Witch Boy has three books now? I am still at the first book, guess I need to hurry up and get to reading. 😛

It is a fun book tag! I’m glad I found it. 🙂 Illuminae is so fantastic; I just discovered it last year and I love it! And yes, The Witch Boy has three books! The Witch Boy, Hidden Witch, and The Midwinter Witch. They are all just wonderful!
