Online readathons are perfect for this time we’re practicing social distancing. Even better, readathons to help with the books that you already. Enter the OwlCrate-A-Thon! I think this is a thing that they hold annually, or maybe a couple times a year? Either way, it’s the perfect way to read some of those OwlCrate books I have.
24in48 is also hosting a readathon this month, if you’re looking for more! I have to work half of that weekend, but I think I’m going to still participate in that one. I participated in the one they hosted last summer and actually made it to 24 hours! There isn’t really hope for that this time, but it’s still fun to read online as a community.
There is also a Magical Readathon starting next month that I’m thinking about joining with a friend! More on that in a later post, though.
OwlCrate-A-Thon TBR
There are three basic challenges for the OwlCrate-A-Thon that lasts for two weeks. Easily doable! Especially for someone with a full schedule like me. The challenges can be found at this Instagram post and are as follows:
- Owlcrate unread book you’ve owned the longest
- Longest Owlcrate book you haven’t read yet
- Read two Owlcreate books
Easy, right? Here are the current Owlcreate books I have that I haven’t read:
- All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace (384 pgs)
- Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim (327 pgs)
- The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White (342 pgs)
- Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw (323 pgs)
- Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones (352 pgs)
- I Hope You Get This Message by Farah Naz Rishi (400 pgs)
- Crier’s War by Nina Varela (448 pgs)
- Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim (392 pgs)
I will for sure be reading Spin the Dawn and Crier’s War to fit the prompts, but I think I’ll also try for All the Stars and Teeth! We’ll see how far I get.
