Somehow, we have found ourselves at the end of another month. Which means it’s time for my July 2020 Wrap Up! I hope you’ve all been staying safe! My classes wrapped up at the beginning of this week, so I have a free month before they start again. So be prepared for a lot of reading in August! Honestly, I have a lot of reviews to catch up on. That will be my focus for the foreseeable future!
Reading Challenges
Still plugging away at these! I’m thinking about joining another readathon next month, but I haven’t decided yet. Waiting to see what comes my way work wise first.
The Undread Shelf prompt for this month was chosen by Instagram. So, I read:
- Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim
It was a fun read! A fantastic sea-based adventure.
For the Read Harder Challenge, both the books I read were romance books! Seems like I have been drifting more toward romance lately.
- Food book about a cuisine you’ve never tried before: A Taste of Sage by Yaffa S. Santos
- Romance starring a single parent: The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
Both of the books also had yellow covers, which isn’t really relevant. I just thought it was a weird coincidence.
Other July Favorites
Let’s see, what other stories did I consume this month? My mom and I finished Schitt’s Creek which I loved. It might be one of my new favorite shows! We also watched The Babysitter’s Club, which was just what we all need right now. My sister and I are about halfway through Community, too! It’s been a good month for comedies. In terms of movies, I watched Birds of Prey, which was fun, and The Old Guard, which was a great movie! I kind of want to read the graphic novels now. Overall, a good watching month too!
