November 2020 has been a busy, busy month! I officially started a new job and am finishing up my degree. Actually, I’m hoping to finish up my last assignments this week and be done for the year! I think I can do it. Which will just leave more time for reading. Also, more time for my Etsy shop! I have some ideas that I’m excited to implement in the new year.
I’ve finished 28 books this month! Just 14 more and I’ve read 300 for the year. Honestly, I’m super impressed with myself. So much reading done! Of course, there were months in there where I didn’t work. So that number makes sense. We’ll see if I can continue this momentum next year!
Reading Challenges
So, I’m three books away from finishing both my challenges! That’s a pretty easy goal to meet in December, I think. Especially with classes done. I’m hoping to still get to about 40 unread books on my list by the end of the year, but we’ll see how that goes. I just have to stop getting so many books from the library.
The Undread Shelf prompt for this month was favorite genre. So, I read:
- The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune
I absolutely fell in love with this book! Can’t wait to read more by TJ Klune in the future!
I might have used the same book for the Read Harder Challenge, too. But no one said I couldn’t double dip!
- Read a book with a main character/protagonist with a disability: The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune
- Read a book in any genre by a Native, First Nations, or Indigenous author: Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger
These were some great reads! I seriously really enjoyed them both. Can’t wait to see what I read for next month to round out this challenge.
Other November Favorites
Well, besides Hallmark Christmas movies, I don’t think I’ve watched any movies this month. But I’ve watched a lot of TV shows! I’m still watching New Girl and Downton Abbey with my mom. But now, we’ve also got holiday baking shows, as well as the Great British Baking Show. A great variety, I’d say. I’m hoping to finish up Community when my sister is back in December, too.
