I almost forgot to write this post today, friends! But better late than never! Fitting in a Top Ten Tuesday post before the night is over. Tonight, we’re focusing on song titles! Specifically, book titles that would make great song titles. Which is such a fun topic, I couldn’t resist. It fits the general theme of my blog, and it’s a bit out of the box.
This prompt made me think a bit, in a good way! Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently run by The Artsy Reader Girl. Check out my last one here!

Book Titles That Would Make Great Song Titles
1. Where We Go From Here by Lucas Rocha
This sounds like a song title from a pop punk band. A song about a break up or something like that. Which is kind of fitting for this story about HIV and the impacts it can have on relationships and other aspects of life. The song would definitely fit into the characters’ lives.
2. I’ll Be the One by Lyla Lee
This book is about music, so I suppose it’s fitting it would make a great song title! I imagine this one as an upbeat pop song, lots of dancing and fun lines. Skye, the main character, would definitely sing her heart out!
3. Just Breathe by Cammie McGovern
If it’s already a song title, is that cheating? I’m counting it anyway. This book has a melancholy tone, which is what I would also imagine the song to be. An indie song with a slower beat and lots of piano.
4. Girl, Unframed by Deb Caletti
Such a powerful book about the way that men look at girls and women. All about that unwanted attention and the dangers that come with it. I would imagine a song would hit similar themes!
5. Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds
Given the dark nature of this book, this would be a dark and gritty song. Maybe something hip hop or rap? Incorporate some of that spoken word that would come from the book, too.
6. Watch Over Me by Nina LaCour
This phrase is definitely in songs already, but I’m not sure if it’s an actual song title. Definitely imagining it as some sort of slow ballad, especially since there are dancing ghosts in this book. It would fit the tone of the book overall, too.
7. Every Body Looking by Candice Iloh
There’s a lot of dancing in this book, so I would imagine this song as something a little more upbeat, too. Something Ada could dance to and just lose herself in.
8. We Didn’t Ask For This by Adi Alsaid
This book is about a group of high school students banding together to fight for a cause that they believe in. This song could be a kind of rallying cry for them, a protest anthem, if you will.
9. Surrender Your Sons by Adam Sass
Another hard-hitting song, I think. Given that this book is largely about conversion therapy, I think the song would have to fit that sort of feel. Dark and maybe loud, rallying against those places that want to squeeze out your identity.
10. Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power
Maybe a rock anthem, for this one? This book is a bit on the creepy side, about the darkness behind some family histories. I would image a song would follow suit.

I like your list! I would definitely want to hear a song with titles like 10, 8 and 4.
