One of my reading goals for this year is to actually finish some of the Marvel story lines that I’ve started. Which is kind of a large task because Marvel story lines are notoriously difficult to follow. But we’ll prevail! Anyway, that means I’ve been reading some Ms. Marvel comics lately, and I’m so excited to finish them. In honor of the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming back next week with WandaVision, I thought I’d do a Marvel-themed playlist!
I like Ms. Marvel because she’s a teenager and it has a bit of a Spider-Man feel to it for that reason. She’s not only struggling with becoming a superhero, but also how to balance that and the cultural expectations of her parents. There are great discussions about this throughout the comics, and that’s why it’s highly recommended!

Not only is Kamala trying to balance being a superhero and her family, but you also have to throw in school and her friends as well. What I also like about her is that she’s a superfan of the Avengers–and then she becomes one. It makes for some fun, hilarious interactions, and I can’t wait to see more of those in the future!
