Happy Monday, friends! I meant to post this playlist last week, but it didn’t end up happening. So here we are with a new playlist for the month! I chose to make a playlist for Marty fromĀ As Far As You’ll Take Me by Phil Stamper. This was one of my favorite reads from February, plus it’s focused on music! It seemed like the perfect opportunity to create a playlist for a book. If you ever have any requests for playlists, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try to do them! I love making playlists for books. They can be so fun!
Character Playlist: Marty
Marty is a teen ready to get out of his small southern town in the US. So, once he graduates high school, he makes his way to London. It’s there he finds his first love and finds that he’s able to be himself, away from his homophobic home town. It’s a novel about firsts, finding your voice, and finding a family. It might make you nostalgic for traveling (I know it did for me), but it’s a great coming of age story. Especially if you were a music nerd in high school. This one is definite for you!
