We are officially at the end of March! Last March, we were in a sort-of different place than we are now. We were in lockdown, not sure what the future held. Still not quite sure what the future holds, to be honest. But there’s a bit more hope now than there was then, with the vaccine being rolled out. Anyway, it’s time for my March 2021 Wrap Up! I did a decent amount of reading this month, and a lot more to read in April.
For the month of March, I read 31 books! It didn’t feel like I did as much reading this month, but I guess that I did. And I definitely read a wide variety of things!
Reading Challenges
Unread Shelf Project and Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge check in time! I finished both challenges, just under the wire. But I finished them all the same! Also I’ve been doing some diversity challenges, and I’ll be sharing my progress with those halfway through the year!
For the Unread Shelf Project, the challenge was to read a book you bought on a trip. I don’t do that often, so I used a wild card for this month and read:
- Ms. Marvel Vol. 6: Civil War II by G. Willow Wilson
I’m almost done with Wilson’s run on Ms. Marvel, and I’m a little sad! I love reading these comics.
I finished two challenges for Read Harder:
- Read a genre novel by an Indigenous, First Nations, or Native American Author: Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
- Read a fanfic: Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas
Okay technically, I read Firekeeper’s Daughter at the end of February, but who’s counting?
Other March Favorites
Let’s see, I started re-watching The Office again in March, as one does. It’s part of my sitcom re-watch cycle. I also finished WandaVision, yay! What a finale, honestly. And Falcon and the Winter Soldier started, which I’m loving so far. My parents and I went to our first movie in over a year and saw Chaos Walking, which I have mixed feelings about it. It mostly stayed true to the book…except for the ending. But Tom Holland was great. We also watched the Snyder Cut of Justice League, which was interesting. Loved getting more character development. And we watched Yes Day which was just a cute, family movie. I think that was it!
