A spring themed list! It’s starting to kind of feel like spring here, but I know that it will get cold one more time before it’s truly spring. But, the warmer weather does put me in a spring cleaning mode! Which is the theme of today’s list! It stumped me at first, but I’ve decided to do books that I want to clean off my TBR. Specifically, books that I want to read at some point this year that have been on my TBR for ages. 2021 seems like a great year to work on that old TBR!

Spring Cleaning
1. Jackpot by Nic Stone
Ideally, I’d like to finish Nic Stone’s backlist this year! I’ve loved everything that I’ve read from her, and it seems like a good time to catch up. I have both Shuri books checked out from the library, so that seems like a good start, too!
2. Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
This one has been on my radar since it came out, but I’ve never gotten around to reading it. Plus, it has an absolutely gorgeous cover! Maybe I’ll see if the audiobook is available from the library.
3. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
With the upcoming show on Netflix, it seems like the perfect time to go back and read this trilogy! I’ve read some of Leigh Bardugo’s other books and they’re great. Can’t wait to dig into this one!
4. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
A co-worker and I were talking about this series the other day, and I’ve decided I’m going to read it at some point this year! I think we own the audiobooks at the library, which has been my preferred way to catch up on series. I’ve done it a lot in the last year!
5. Sovereign by April Daniels
I read Dreadnought a few years ago, but never got around to listening to the sequel. I really need to do that! Usually, I’m good about finishing series, but this one just slipped through the cracks.
6. The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan
This was one of those books that got a lot of buzz back when it first came out, but I just never got around to reading it. It seems like a really emotional book, which I’ll probably need to be in the right mood for. Hopefully sometime this year!
7. Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee
I’m actually close to actually reading this one! I bought it with a gift card that I got over Christmas. So it’s in my possession! I just need to find a time to actually read it.
8. The Disasters by M.K. England
If I’m in the mood for a space squad story, this is definitely one that I’ll be reaching for. I think there’s a sequel out for it, too! Space adventures can especially be fun reads for the summer.
9. Wildcard by Marie Lu
Honestly, I can’t believe I haven’t finished this duology. I guess this seems like a trend at the moment. I’m better at finishing long series than I am at finishing duologies, it seems!
10. Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
As a fan of Maureen Johnson, I can’t believe that I haven’t read this already. I think there’s a new one coming out in this series this year, too! I’ve head that it’s a great mystery, and it definitely sounds entertaining and fun!
