Hello friends! It’s the beginning of a new month, which means it’s time for a new playlist! One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston comes out next month, and I decided to do a playlist for it! Specifically, a playlist for the main character, August. Mostly because I was inspired by one song. Plus, this book is the perfect summer book, so you’ll definitely want it on all of your summer reading lists.
August is a twenty-three-year-old who has just moved to New York. She finds a group of queer, odd roommates and lands a job at a 24-hour pancake diner. What she doesn’t expect is to fall for a girl on the train. A girl who just happens to be out of time.
August Playlist
For most of her life, August has had to fend for herself. That is, until she falls for June. They’re relationship is definitely swoon worthy, pretty similar to Alex and Henry in Red, White, & Royal Blue. The little found family is what makes this book, and I can’t wait for everyone else to meet August and the crew this June!
This is an upbeat, summer playlist, a perfect soundtrack for summer love!
