If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that Jeff Zentner is one of my all-time favorite authors. His novel, In the Wild Light, which comes out August 10, is possibly my favorite book of his so far. It’s so emotional, poetic, and I just loved all of the characters. I’m going to be promoting the heck out of this book for the next week becuase I love it so much. So, this month’s playlist is dedicated to Cash, the main character. Cash, who’s had a hard life and struggles with how to process his grief.
Anyway, if you’re looking for an emotional read to round out your summer, I can’t recommend this book enough. It will probably have you in tears, but what Jeff Zentner novel doesnt??
Cash Playlist
In the book, Cash goes to a boarding school with his best friend, who is insanely smart. However, Cash doesn’t think he belongs there because he doesn’t think he’s as smart as Delaney. While he’s there, though, he discovers he does have what it takes to make it. Just in a different way than Delaney.
