Happy end of September, friends! More than ever, I feel like this month just blew right by. Wasn’t it just the beginning of September? Where did the time go?! Despite this month going by lightning quick, I still got quite a bit of reading in. I read a total of 37 books this month. Basically, a book a day! Plus, I actually watched some other movies and stuff, so my September 2021 Wrap Up will include more than books.
However, I have been seriously slacking on my reading challenges. Like, I don’t even think I completed any of the challenges for this month. I am a bit behind, and will possibly do a post just catching myself up on what I still have to finish in these last three months of the year. The one I’m most behind on is Read Native, so I’ve really gotta start looking for some books to fit those prompts! Anyway, that means I’m going to be skipping the Reading Challenge section for this month.
Other September Favorites
So, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings came out this month and it was fantastic! It felt like a bit of a change from typical Marvel movies, and I can’t wait for what else they’re going to come out with this year. They actually just released the trailer for Hawkeye, and that’s one of my most anticipated shows. Because it’s supposed to be based on my favorite comics from Matt Fraction!
I actually don’t think I watched any other movies this month. But I am watching Gilmore Girls for the first time. Y: The Last Man also started on Hulu and I’m really enjoying that adaptation so far. It’s taken the comics and added some things that just rounds it out really nicely. Also almost finished with my rewatch of New Girl, so I’ll have to find another comfort show to add to the mix. Which honestly might be Schitt’s Creek again. We shall see!
