Happy Tuesday, friends! I’m finally setting aside time to write blog posts that aren’t book reviews, so here we go! I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday post in awhile, so I figured I’d start there. Hoping to bring back some of my other post series, too! I just have to keep setting aside the time to do it. Today’s theme is New to Me Authors from 2021. Now, we’ll have to see what I can remember, because I read a lot of books in 2021!
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently run by The Artsy Reader Girl. Check out my last one here!

New to Me Authors from 2021
1. Robbie Couch
A lot of the authors on this list are probably going to be debut authors from 2021, because I feel like there were a lot! Robbie Couch was one of them, with The Sky Blues. Which was one of my favorite reads from last year! I can’t wait to read what he does next.
2. Xiran Jay Zhao
Like The Sky Blues, Iron Widow was one of my favorite books from last year. Action packed with strong characters that breaks the mold of the love triangle. What more could you want?
3. Emery Lee
Meet Cute Diary is one of those books that perfectly exemplifies what it means to be a teenager. Emery Lee has skill in writing teenagers, and it’s clear from beginning to end in this book.
4. Kerri Maniscalco
Maniscalco isn’t a new author from last year, but 2021 is the first time I dove into her books! I loved the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. Well, most of it. I probably could have done without the last book.
5. Julian Winters
Winters did have a book come out last year, but he’s been around for longer than that. I’ve only read one of his books so far (The Summer of Everything), but I’m definitely excited to check out more!
6. Angeline Boulley
Another debut author from 2021! Firekeeper’s Daughter definitely made a big splash in 2021, for good reason! It’s an amazing book. And I can’t wait to see what she does next.
7. Emiko Jean
We’re adding some romance into the mix! I read Tokyo Ever After last year and absolutely fell in love. It’s such a great story, with a adorable romance at its core. I loved it so much!
8. Ray Stoeve
Another debut author from 2021, with a new book coming out spring of 2022! Between Perfect and Real was a great addition to the realm of young adult literature.
9. Kendare Blake
Blake didn’t have a debut in 2021, but I first read her Three Dark Crowns series last summer! It might be slow moving, but it’s dark and interesting.
10. Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Another author who has been around for a while, but I just started reading her last year! If you’re looking for a good, fast-paced mystery, definitely check out The Inheritance Games!
