Summary

Lily and Chrysanthemum live in Thornhaven, a town where witches are hiding in plain sight. While Lily has lived there her whole life and is from the most popular magical family, Chrys is a transplant who is just trying to fit in. The two quickly became academic rivals and have been ever since.

When a new guy moves into town, Lily is determined to make him her boyfriend. It’s what the tarot cards said, anyway. Instead, her and Chrys accidentally create a curse that threatens the whole town. And it’s up to them to get along to fix it.

Review: No Charm Done

Thanks to NetGalley and Holiday House for an advanced copy of No Charm Done by Tori Anne Martin to review! From the cover, this seemed like the perfect sapphic witchy romance for fall. Not only do you have the academic rivals to lovers trope, but you also have a cute little town full of magic.

Told from both Chrys and Lily’s perspective, we get to see the little moments where each of them falls for the other. They also have great banter with each other, adding to their chemistry. The magical world building was well done; who doesn’t love a cute little town with witchy vibes?

In addition to Chrys and Lily, there are some fun side characters that add to the antics. While I do think the ending felt a bit rushed, overall this is an enjoyable story to add to your fall TBR!
