Summary

Review: Exchanged
Thanks to NetGalley and Farrar, Straus, and Giroux for an advanced copy of Exchanged by Dan Perucco to review! I was excited to see that this book was set in Michigan, the Upper Peninsula to be exact. Plus, it sounded like such a fun premise and I was in need of good romance!
It was easy to get sucked into this story, both with the characters and the plot. While this is billed as a cute romance, be warned it does get a little heavy at the end. Especially with Garrett and his family. Honestly, it really hits the angst part of being a teenager, so it didn’t really feel out of place to me.
The characters absolutely shine in this. Enzo and Garrett will steal your heart, as well as the secondary characters surrounding them. There’s a little bit of a found family aspect for Garrett, looking for somewhere he’ll be accepted. Both boys are also trying to figure out their futures, and the solutions felt realistic given their histories.
Also, if you’ve been to the UP in Michigan, you’ll see so much of it reflected here. I loved that. If you’re looking for a sweet queer romance this fall, definitely pick this one up!
