Summary

Though he’s a vampire, Count Dracula is known for one thing around town: his famous brunch club, featuring his famous blood-orange jelly filled donuts. However, after coming back from a trip, he’s found that all of the jelly has mysteriously disappeared and his nemesis, Constantine, has taken over his brunch club.

When humans also start disappearing, it’s up to Dracula to figure out what happened to them. And his jelly. And hopefully set his brunch club back to normal.

Review: Dracula’s Brunch Club

Thanks to Oni Press and NetGalley for an advanced copy of Dracula’s Brunch Club by Brian Gonsar to review! I was drawn in by the cover of this one, as it just looks like a delightfully good time. Plus, who wouldn’t want to read a story about a vampire who started his own brunch club?

Kids will definitely get a kick out of this story, as it reads almost like a cartoon. Dracula gets up to plenty of silly antics, especially when it comes to solving the problem of the missing jelly. The art fits the overall tone of the story perfectly, and I really can’t wait to recommend this to kids once it comes out.

There’s a lot to love about this book, and if your kid is a graphic novel fan, this should definitely be on your list when it comes out at the end of August!
