A field of sunflowers with a purple rectangle in the middle with the words "Haymitch Abernathy Playlist"

It’s been a while since I did a playlist post. Or any kind of post besides a book review, honestly. One of my goals for the year was to get back into blogging more regularly. Better late than never! Anyway, if you, like me, haven’t been able to stop thinking about Sunrise on the Reaping since you read it, this playlist is for you.

We know bits and pieces of Haymitch’s story from the original Hunger Games books. However, no one expected how dark it was really going to turn out. His story is an emotionally brutal one, and I think we’re all going to be wrecked once the movie comes out next year.

Haymitch Abernathy Playlist

From the original books, we know Haymitch as a keep-to-himself, town drunk. But he had a soft spot for Katniss and Peeta, with their relationship evolving into Mockingjay. I did my best trying to capture Haymitch’s journey in this playlist. Enjoy!
