Review: Tripping Over You Book 2
Thanks to NetGalley and First Second for an advanced copy of Tripping Over You Book 2 by Suzana Harcum and Owena White to review! I read the first volume of this last fall, so I was excited to get to see what Milo and Liam were up to in this volume. It’s fun to get to see how they grow together from high school to college.
This is a completed webcomic, which is definitely a trend I’ve been seeing in YA graphic novels. I like that these are showing a progression of life for Milo and Liam; it’s kind of nice to get to see what they’ve been up to since high school. Teens might also be drawn to that, especially teens who struggle with what the future might look like.
The art style is cute; I think it fits the story well. It did take me a minute to remember what happened in the previous volume, but it didn’t take me too much out of the story. It’s on the longer side for a graphic novel; however, the story moves at a fast enough pace that it doesn’t feel too long.
Milo and Liam are the stars of the story, so we get the most character development from them. We also get some new side characters, and we get to see some from the previous book. If you like contemporary romance graphic novels, this one is definitely cute!
