Summary

Aisling’s world is about to be turned upside now. The night before her 18th birthday, Forgive-Me-Not breaks into her room to reveal that she’s not actually the princess. She’s a changeling who was swapped with the real princess at birth. The real princess who is Forgive-Me-Not. As the two embark on a journey together, their bond might just grow into something more.

Review: Forgive-Me-Not

Thanks to NetGalley and First Second for an advanced copy of Forgive-Me-Not by Mari Costa to review! Mari Costa is a favorite graphic novel creator of mine, so I was excited to read her latest work! Her art style is so distinctive, and it works so well in this fairytale-esque story. Costa brings us into the story with her art, punctuated with some well-rounded characters.

The overall tone is whimsical and cozy with a splash of adventure. Forgive-Me-Not and Aisling’s relationship does move a little too quickly for my taste, but it is also a shorter graphic novel. A lot of world building is also packed into a short amount of time, and I do wish we got a little more of that.

But aside form that, this was a delightful fluffy book that I needed after something a little heavier. Definitely check it out when it comes out in April!
