Maggie Stiefvater has a way of writing characters that you know are going to pull at your heartstrings. I remember when I first read her Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy in high school, and there was something compelling about the story and the characters; the way that these characters just accept the supernatural, the magical in the world of reality. Stiefvater writes with a lyrically magical style that easily pulls you into the world she has created. This was also true of The Raven Cycle, which I just finished today. One character that stood out to me was Ronan Lynch, a boy who can pull things out of his dreams, who has a hard outer shell and is fiercely protective of the ones that he loves. Ronan’s story is beautifully tragic, and this playlist is for him.
