Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Places

This week for Top Ten Tuesday we’re talking about bookish places! Top Ten Tuesday is currently run by Jana over at The Artsy Reader. There, you can also find other Tuesday topics. While I don’t quite get to the topic every week (here’s my last post!), it’s a great way to find something to write about when you’re struggling.

Though I feel like there are a lot of places from my favorite books that I wouldn’t necessarily want to visit (Panem, for example), there are still plenty that would be magical! Let’s see if I can come up with ten.

Ten Bookish Places

1) Hogwarts from Harry Potter

If you’ve never read Harry Potter and didn’t desperately want to go to Hogwarts, did you even read Harry Potter? Learning magic is all the inspiration I need.

2) Westeros from Game of Thrones

While I’m not saying I’d like to go there and be royalty, it’d be kinda cool to visit. Especially if you could see the dragons.

3) Amsterdam from The Fault in Our Stars

Yes, this is a real place, and yes, I’d really like to go there someday! The restaurant they described sounded delicious.

4) The Shire from The Hobbit

With cute little houses built into trees and lots of food to eat, what isn’t there to like? Out of all bookish places, it’s not my first choice, but it would still be cool to visit.

5) Narnia from The Chronicles of Narnia

Not when the White Witch was in charge, though. Probably after that.

6) Erilea from Throne of Glass

Once Aelin releases the magic once again, this seems like the coolest place to visit. There would be so much to explore!

7) Creekwood from Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

A strictly bookish place, but it would just be cool to run into the characters from Becky Albertalli’s books. I’d like to think I’d be friends with them.

8) Watford School of Magicks from Carry On

Another wizarding school, but I just think it would be really cool to learn magic. You could do so many things!

9) Henrietta, Virginia from The Raven Cycle

There’s a mythical element to this completely fictional town that Maggie Stiefvater created, and it seems like it would be an excellent place for hiking.

10) Hawaii from Summer Bird Blue

Yes, this is also a real place, but I still want to go to Hawaii. Maybe someday!

Where would you choose to go if you could be transported to a place from a book?
